Thursday, Sept. 1

Total files: 74

North Delta:

- Theft from Auto: 6600-block Kempson Crescent - A thief entered the complainant's unlocked vehicle and stole an IBM Laptop. Valued at $1,000.

South Delta:

- Theft: 1300-block 56 Street - Thieves entered the underground storage area of an apartment building and forced their way into a locker where they stole the victim's mountain bike. Taken was a 19", metallic blue, Kona, full suspension, mountain bike, with a Cat-eye light on the front handlebars. Valued at $2000

- Theft of Vehicle: 4900-block 48 Avenue - the complainant reported the theft of a blue, 1993 Nissan Pathfinder. Entered on CPIC.

Sunday, Sept. 4

North Delta:

- Mischief: 8600-block Scott Road - Two, as yet unidentified, vandals smashed side view mirrors and/or windows of approximately six vehicles in a parking lot of apartment complex.

South Delta:

- Breach of Probation: Highway 17 and Tsawwassen Drive - At approximately midnight an officer conducted a traffic stop and identified a young man who was on probation for carrying a restricted firearm. One of the man's conditions was a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. He was arrested and held for court.

Monday, Sept. 5

North Delta:

- Mischief: 7600-block 112 Street - Several residents near the local high school heard youths gathering and drinking in the backfield. Police attended and dispersed the youths. Officers then noticed that a garbage bin was smouldering. Delta Fire was called to extinguish the garbage. A jerry can with a small amount of gas was found and seized for destruction.

South Delta:

- Break and Enter: 1700-block 56 Street - Thieves forced their way into the South Delta Recreation Centre via the new ice rink under construction. There was some damage to a door and minor theft.
