UPDATE: Delta Police searching for missing Boundary Bay man

Curtis Brown left his home at 9 p.m. on Saturday for his regular evening walk and didn't return

UPDATE AS OF 9:15 A.M. SUNDAY

Delta Police say Curt Brown, the elderly man missing from the area of 2nd Avenue and 65B St has been located. 

He is tired and cold, but otherwise appears uninjured.   The DPD wishes to thank its partners for their assistance, including Search and Rescue volunteers, the Canadian Coast Guard, resources in Point Roberts, all other agencies, and the general public.

Delta Police have launched an investigation to locate a missing Boundary Bay man.

On Saturday evening (Oct. 1), Curtis Brown was reported missing from the area of 2nd Avenue and 65B Street after he didn’t return home from his regular 9 p.m. walk.

He is described as a 78-year-old Caucasian man, 6-foot-3 tall with a medium build, with white hair, and a white beard.  Brown was wearing plaid pajamas, tan slippers, and a black fleece jacket.  He has no cell phone, car, or money on him.

Investigators are concerned Brown may have become disoriented and has been unable to find his way home.  If you see him, investigators request you stay with him and contact the DPD at 604-946-4411 and request an officer attend to assist to help him.

DPD is also asking Boundary Bay residents to check their property, sheds, yards and cars.

South Fraser Search and Rescue personnel are attending the area to conduct a full search, should you see increased activity in the area.
