Cecil Lambert had been recognized for his 50 years of membership and honoured at ceremony to start the 1965 season.

The Ladner Lawn Bowling Club was first organized in 1916.

In 1917, the name changed to the Delta Lawn Bowling Association.

Initially, members bowled on the lawn at William Kirkland’s residence.

In 1918, a greens was constructed at the Ladner Country Club and a club house erected in 1919.

In 1950, the club was reorganized and incorporated under the B.C. Societies Act as the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club.

The Ladner Ladies Lawn Bowling Club was absorbed by the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club in 1972.

The club is still around today, noting it emphasizes casual recreational play on a drop-in basis.

Its green is located on 47th Avenue.
