For the next five nights southbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes on the Alex Fraser Bridge.

Evening maintenance work by Mainroad Contracting will reduce southbound lanes on the Alex Fraser Bridge for the next five nights.

Starting tonight (May 28) at 9 p.m. and until 5 a.m., two southbound lanes will be closed for joint maintenance. Two southbound lanes will remain open at all times. The work is scheduled to wrap up on Saturday morning.

Drivers will need to follow the direction of traffic control signs, equipment and detour routes. Drivers are asked to slow down and show respect for all roadside crews working through the night.

Also happening tonight is Mainroad doing paving at the Highway 91 off ramps to 64th Street, starting at 9 p.m. Both north and south bound exits will be closed starting at 8 p.m. and re-opening at 5 a.m. on Tuesday. In addition, 64th Avenue westbound traffic will be detoured to Highway 91 northbound and eastbound to Highway 91 southbound.
