If you plan on drinking this weekend, make sure you plan ahead and have a safe ride home.
That is the message from Delta Police who will be increasing enforcement for impaired driving at CounterAttack road checks this weekend.
“Did you know that each year in B.C., 65 people die in crashes involving impaired driving. Almost a third of these happen in the summer,” said DPD in a post on their social media. “There are many options to get home safely. The best time to decide how to get home responsibly is before you start drinking. If you make the decision to consume alcohol or drugs, make the decision to also find a safe ride home.”
