Financial institution robbed in North Delta

Delta police are investigating a robbery at a Scott Road financial institution Saturday. A man entered the institution in the 8000-block and made a demand for money. Staff complied and suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Delta police are investigating a robbery at a Scott Road financial institution Saturday.

A man entered the institution in the 8000-block and made a demand for money. Staff complied and suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police conducted patrols in the area but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 5-9, 180 pounds, 30 years old, with brown short hair. He was wearing glasses, a beige jacket, V-neck shirt, black pants and white shoes.

No weapon was produced and no one was injured.

- In other police news over the weekend, a suspect(s) stole a black 2008 Chevrolet pick-up truck parked in a driveway in the 6400-block of 50th Avenue. The vehicle has been entered on the police computer system.

Thieves also stole credit cards and a driver's licence from a vehicle in the 6100-block of River Road and a mountain bike and tools from a garage in the 5300-block of Crescent Drive.
