A North Delta grow-op bust has netted more than just marijuana plants for Delta police.

Officers executed search warrants at two North Delta homes - one in the 8600block of Delcrest Drive and the other in the 10700-block of Doncaster Drive - both of which housed sophisticated indoor grow-ops.

Between the two houses, officers found more than 2,600 plants, with an estimated value of close to $160,000.

Four Delta men are now facing charges and the two homes were seized as offence-related property under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, a provision that targets the "tools and instruments" used to commit crimes.

If convicted, the Crown will seek forfeiture of the two homes.

Lam Son Nguyen, 46, Ngoc Thi Nguyen, 42, Hoang Nguyen, 48, and Huong Thi Xuan Bui, 42, are all charged with production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All four accused are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 29.
