The Delta 2004 Heat have been busy off the field of late, contributing to their hometown.
Representatives from the girls’ rep fastpitch team made a special visit to Augustine House in Ladner where all 13 team members signed Christmas cards for every one of the 117 residents.
On Monday, the girls were busy again, this time dropping off a big load of non-perishable items at the South Delta Food Bank.
“It’s been a tough year for everyone, some more than others and we just felt it was a good way to spread a little Christmas cheer,” said Heat head coach Chris Ainge. “It’s good for my girls to recognize that we are thankful for what we have and to help when you can.”
