This fundraiser for Delta Hospital will also give hospital staff a much-needed morale boost and support local restaurants/breweries.

The Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation is inviting the community to take part in their 'Cheers to Delta Hospital' event from July 1 to Aug. 31.

This fundraiser for Delta Hospital will also give hospital staff a much-needed morale boost and support local restaurants/breweries.

Everyone is invited to participate and show their support by visiting one of 10 local host establishments and ordering their special ‘Cheers’ drink of choice. The drink can be enjoyed at the host location or it can be taken ‘to go’ to your home, backyard, or a ‘cheers’ friendly local park. Partial proceeds of these beverages will go to support the hospital.

The Foundation encourages participants to post pics on social media and use the hashtag #Cheers2DH to show hospital staff that our community is here for them.

Participating host establishments include: Barnside Brewing Co., Browns Socialhouse Tsawwassen, Four Winds Brewing Co. Ltd., Gracie's Next Door, Il Posto, Illuminate Restorante, Mario's, Milestones Tsawwassen, One20 Public House, and The Primerose Greek Restaurant.

“We want to encourage the whole community to get out and show the staff of Delta Hospital that we appreciate everything that they have done for us over these past 16 months and at the same time help out the restaurant industry that has also felt the effects of the pandemic,” said Foundation executive director Lisa Hoglund. “We want to give thanks for our host establishments and our sponsors including Alair Homes Delta, McKim Mechanical and Neighbourhood Plumbing & Heating Ltd for supporting this important fundraiser for Delta Hospital.”

Proceeds from the ‘Cheers to Delta Hospital’ event will fund the hospitals busy emergency department which provides 24-hour emergency services for over 34,000 patients in need of immediate care every year.
