South Delta drivers headed northbound through the Massey Tunnel the next few nights may want to give themselves some extra time.
Scheduled construction work will have the right lane closed nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. The work is scheduled to be completed by next Thursday (Jan. 19). The right lane closure on Highway 99 extends from the Deas Thruway to Exit 32 (Steveston Highway).
Meanwhile, anyone heading to the U.S. border or White Rock via Highway 99 may also want to give themselves added time.
Bridge construction between the King George Highway and 32nd Avenue exits that was initially scheduled to be completed by the end of December has been extended until March. A 24-hour speed reduction to 50 km/h is in place through the construction zone and often has led to southbound delays. Northbound lanes are impacted as well.
