The application is a scaled-down version of a five-storey, 52-unit condo building proposal submitted a year earlier.

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, for residents to have their say on a proposed 40-unit condominium project in Tsawwassen.

The application for the 1200-block of Hunter Road would see five properties consolidated into one parcel in order to develop the four-storey apartment building with two levels of underground parking, accessed from Hunter Road.

An earlier proposal asked for 52 units but the application was revised.

The application requires rezoning from single-family and an Official Community Plan amendment as well as other approvals.

The two-bedroom condos would range from around 1,200 square feet to just over 1,700 square feet.

The site is located just off 12th Avenue near the Beach Grove Golf Club, which has its own rezoning application to build townhouses fronting the course.

The public hearing takes place at 4 p.m. at municipal hall in Ladner.

Residents have the opportunity to write to council, email, participate via telephone or video conference but have to register in advance, as well as attend in person but must also register in advance.

More details are available by contacting the clerk’s department.

The hearing will also broadcast on the city’s website.
