B.C. extended the provincial state of emergency until Feb. 2, 2021.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the City of Delta is inching downward.

That’s according to the latest weekly map from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control, which lists the number of cases by community as well as health region.

According to the map made public Thursday on the BCCDC website, which covers the period of Jan. 10 to 16, the number of people in Delta infected with coronavirus stands at 100.

The previous week, Delta had 123 cases.

Meanwhile, the latest list has Surrey at 675 cases, Richmond is at 67, Langley is at 64, Abbotsford is at 207 and the City of Vancouver is at 446.

The B.C. government is adjusting its vaccination plan following news that Pfizer-BioNTech will not be sending doses of its vaccine to Canada next week, creating a shortfall.
