The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police department responded to in the South Delta area between Monday, Oct. 31 and Monday, Nov. 7:

TSAWWASSEN

. October 31, 10: 39 p.m., 700-block of 54th Street: A group of youths was observed vandalizing a fence. The damage is estimated to be $500.

. November 1, 10: 38 a.m., 5300-block of 4th Avenue: A report was received that several boards on a fence had been broken sometime overnight. No suspects or witnesses.

. November 4, 8: 26 p.m., 700-block of 53rd Street: A complainant reported that her $200 black LG Optimus 1 cell phone was stolen from her backpack while she was attending her gym class. The phone is described as having red trim and is in a blue-teal transparent case. The backpack had been left unattended in the gym change room.

. November 5, 3: 57 p.m., 700-block of Tsawwassen Beach Road: A complaint was received that a group of 10 youths were longboarding down a private road. The youths were gone on police arrival.

. November 5, 6: 14 p.m., 5200-block of 6th Avenue: Complainant reported that a neighbour had taken a $50 white hoodie from their front lawn. Police investigation found the neighbour thought the hoodie had been discarded and relinquished it to police who returned it to the owner and explained the misunderstanding.

. November 6, 1: 36 p.m., ferry causeway: An Oregon driver's licence was found at the causeway. The item was turned into Delta police and will be returned to the owner.

. November 7, 11 a.m., 1100-block of 56th Street: Several pieces of costume jewelry, including two watches, found at the Safeway have been turned into the Tsawwassen Community Police Station.

Owners can claim item upon identification at the office, 1108-56th St.

LADNER

. November 5, 3: 23 p.m., 6000-block of Highway 17: Complainant reported that his iPhone was stolen from his vehicle while parked in the hotel parking lot. The hotel video surveillance identified two possible suspects. Owner indicated he might have left his vehicle unlocked.

. November 5, 12: 16 p.m., 5400-block of Ladner Trunk Road: A report was received that a bicycle was stolen from the rack on the north side of the pub. The bike, which was locked, is described as a green/black, 18-speed Scott mountain bike with pedal straps and is valued at $500.

. November 6, 11: 47 a.m., 5200-block of Ladner Trunk Road: Complainant reported her fanny pack was stolen from her vehicle parked in the supermarket parking lot. Items in fanny pack included two house keys and four blank cheques. The items belonged to a client of the complainant, all who were advised of the theft and the blank cheques were cancelled.
