Optimist readers aren’t exactly thrilled with the provincial government’s decision to dip into ICBC profits to provide some relief for today’s high gas prices.
Sometime in the next few weeks, all B.C. residents with insured vehicles will be receiving $110 rebate cheques. In our recent online poll question, that ran March 31 to April 5, we asked readers “Was the ICBC rebate for high gas prices a good idea?
Of the 259 responses, including 91 that live in the community, 67 percent opted for “No,” leaving the remaining 33 percent believing the rebate cheque is fair compensation.
Results are based on an online study of adult Delta Optimist readers that are located in Ladner. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 6.06%, 19 times out of 20.
