Plenty of ways to dispose of that Christmas tree

It's that time of year again. Christmas is over for another year and volunteers from the Lions clubs of Delta are once again offering tree chipping. Tree chipping events are being held on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8.

Christmas is over for another year and volunteers from the Lions clubs of Delta are once again offering tree chipping.

Tree chipping events are being held on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8.

In Ladner, trees can be taken to Memorial Park (5010-47th Ave.) between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. In Tsawwassen, tree chipping will take place in the parking lot of the South Delta Recreation Centre from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Christmas trees can be put out with yard trimmings on your regular collection day if you receive regular curbside collection. Residents are asked to cut large trees in half to make collection easier.
