Police looking for help tracking down missing North Delta man

Delta police are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down 42-year-old Andrew Munro. The North Delta resident, who was last seen in Stewart, B.C., hasn't been heard from since early December.

Delta police are looking for help in tracking down a man who hasn't been heard from in over a month.


Andrew William Munro, 42, was reported missing from North Delta on Nov. 4. After some investigation, police discovered he was last seen in the northern B.C. community of Stewart on Nov. 15.


Department spokesperson A/Sgt. Sarah Swallow said investigators believe Munro was trying to get to Hyder, Alaska.


Foul play is not suspected in the disappearance, but Munro has not been heard from since Dec. 2.


He is described as a Caucasian male, 6'2" and 145 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.


Police have notified the RCMP's Stewart detachment as well as Canada Border Services Agency, Alaska State Troopers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection of Munro's disappearance.
