The Delta Hospital Foundation is inviting all businesses and organizations to make Every Penny Count.

Riverhouse Restaurant & Pub is already on board and the foundation is inviting the entire business community to join in collecting pennies for Delta Hospital. The Every Penny Counts campaign's goal is to collect one million pennies ($10,000) to purchase a Triple Lumen IV Pump. To date, the foundation has collected 200,000 pennies.

Riverhouse Restaurant & Pub staff members are saving their pennies for the hospital and have started a penny drive. The Riverhouse is joined by Budget Foods, Heritage House Interiors and the Ladner Legion as local organizations collecting pennies for Every Penny Counts.

The local restaurant hopes to raise $1,000 in cooper pieces.

"This fundraiser is a great and fun opportunity for us and our customers to get involved and help our hospital," said Aimee Coleman, server at the Riverhouse Restaurant & Pub. "We challenge all other restaurants, pubs and businesses in the community to join us and collect 100,000 pennies."

Businesses and organizations interested in joining the corporate challenge can get more information by calling 604-940-9695.

The foundation is located inside Delta Hospital's front entrance.

In complex cases at the hospital, patients might need more than one medication administered at once. The Triple Lumen IV Pump can administer up to three medications at a time with greater flexibility and puts less stress on the patient.
