Shoppers can win if they're up to challenge

Get passport stamped at local businesses

The Business Improvement Association (BIA) of Tsawwassen and 68 local businesses are inviting residents to participate in the Tsawwassen Christmas Shopping Challenge until Dec. 24.

Shop at participating businesses and get your passport stamped. A total of $1,000 in Tsawwassen Shopping Dollars will be given away as prizes.

"We have fantastic businesses in our community - with everything on your Christmas shopping list ready to go, without spending an extra dollar on gas or time spent on traffic or lineups," said BIA executive director Ana Arciniega.

"Our goal is to encourage shopping locally this season and we are prepared to reward shoppers for their support. This challenge is easy to fulfill: simply pick up a passport at any participating business and get it stamped at as many businesses as you can."

Collect a minimum of five stamps and enter to win one of 10 prizes of $50 in Tsawwassen Shopping Dollars or collect a minimum of 10 stamps and enter to win prizes of $100, $150 or a grand prize of $250 in Tsawwassen Shopping Dollars, which can be redeemed at any of the participating businesses.

Passports can be dropped off at Petra's Arts Kafe, Dulux Paints or Blenz Coffee by Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. Winners will be announced on Jan. 3.

BIA promotions aim to raise awareness of the economic activity generated by our town centre, both in product made locally and in the amazing service, retail and professional sectors in the community.

"We celebrate the fact that we have a diversity of businesses, expertise and quality products accessible to our residents without having to drive outside of town. We want to support them and hope our shoppers support them too," said Arciniega.
