Delta police and Delta fire did a drive-by Sirens at 7 salute around Delta Hospital in Ladner Thursday night to mark the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 global pandemic, as well, to thank and honour our healthcare workers.

Thursday marked the one-year anniversary that the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 a pandemic.

“As we commemorated the National Day of Observance for COVID-19 yesterday, we want to thank Delta Police and Delta Firefighters for coming out to honour our Delta Hospital healthcare workers last night,” said the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation who also helped organize the Sirens at 7 Thursday evening outside Delta Hospital in Ladner. “We also want to honour all those who lost their lives and their loved ones who have suffered immense loss.

“Over this past year, all of us have been affected by the pandemic in one way or another. It is important to remember that we are all in this together and we will get through this together.”
