The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Sunday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 11: Tsawwassen - September 5, 2 to 6 a.m.

The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Sunday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 11:

Tsawwassen

- September 5, 2 to 6 a.m., South Delta Recreation Centre: An area under construction was broken into. Police obtained forensic evidence for further investigation.

- September 5, overnight, 1600-block of Enderby Drive: Thieves entered and stole $500 worth of items from a parked vehicle overnight.

- September 5, overnight, 1500-block of Enderby Drive: Thieves stole several pairs of sunglasses and CDs valued at $700 from a parked vehicle.

- September 5, overnight, 1600-block of 56th Street: A thief broke the driver's side window of parked vehicle to gain access, whereupon they rifled through the glove box. Nothing appeared to be stolen, but $300 in damage.

- September 5, overnight, 00-block of 66th Street: Thieves entered an unlocked vehicle and stole sunglasses and a cellular phone valued at $500.

- September 6, midnight to 3 a.m., 5500-block of 12th Avenue: A thief stole a locked GIANT bicycle from outside a local restaurant. The bike, valued at $1,500, is a one-of-a-kind, modified single speed mountain bike with a unique brown seat. The serial number has been entered on CPIC as stolen.

- September 6, 4 p.m., 600-block of Centennial Parkway: Thieves broke into the victim's parked car and stole identification, credit cards and an iPhone. The credit cards were used several times, and numerous cell phone calls were made. The identification was located the following day at Deas Island Regional Park and turned in to police.

- September 7, 2:30 a.m., 1200-block of 56th Street: Two vandals threw a large rock through the side glass doors of a Coast Mountain bus, then ran away. A police service dog attempted a track, but met with negative results. Damage: $500.

- September 7, overnight, 5400-block of Wallace Avenue: Someone stole the front and rear licence plates from a car parked on the complainant's driveway. The plates were entered as stolen on CPIC.

- September 9, 1 p.m., 4900-block of 8A Avenue: Complainant reported that a locked bicycle was stolen from the side of their residence sometime within the past two weeks.

- September 9, overnight, 4800-block of 12th Avenue: Complainant reported a break and enter to a house under construction. The locks were pried off, the house was entered and numerous items totaling $6,000, including tools, were taken.

- September 10, 900-block of 51st Street: Thieves stole the rear licence plate from victim's car while it was parked on the driveway.

- September 10, overnight, 4800-block of 11A Avenue: Someone stole the victim's wallet, which had been left accidentally at the back door.

- September 11, 10:30 p.m., 400-block of Centennial Parkway: The homeowner heard the sound of glass breaking and discovered that a large rock had been thrown from the street through her glass sundeck. The area was checked with negative results.

Ladner

- September 4, overnight, 4600-block of Savoy Street: Thieves stole two hubcaps from parked vehicle. Value: $250.

- September 6, 8:30 a.m., 55B Street and Ladner Trunk Road: A young female pedestrian was struck in a marked crosswalk while attempting to cross Ladner Trunk Road. She was transported to Children's Hospital and reported to be in stable condition. The accident is still under investigation.

- September 6, 8:35 p.m., Ladner Trunk Road and Arthur Drive: A woman was struck in the marked crosswalk and was taken to hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries. The female later died in hospital of injuries sustained in the collision. The accident is still under investigation.

- September 6, 5:15 p.m., 6400-block of 80th Street: Witness saw two males loading pipe into a F150 pickup truck at a jobsite for the SFPR and reported the incident to police. An officer located the suspect vehicle in the 910-block of River Road and arrested two males for theft and possession of stolen property. One suspect was released on a promise to appear, while the second male was held in custody on outstanding warrants.

- September 6, 7 p.m., 4900-block of Westminster Avenue: Victim reported that someone had stolen the validation tag from their rear licence plate. The exact time, date and location of theft is unknown. The validation tag number was entered on CPIC as stolen.

- September 6, 7 p.m., 4600-block of 62nd Street: Complainant reported damage to a car. Someone tried to pry the driver's side door open while it was parked at the soccer fields at Holly Park. Damage: $500.

- September 7, overnight, 5200-block of Crescent Drive: Vandals spray painted graffiti on the sides of the victim's house. Damage estimated at $100.

- September 8, 12:05 p.m., 7900-block of Alexander Road: Complainant reported that someone stole five batteries from a recycling bin at the rear of a warehouse complex. Value: $50.

- September 8, 6 p.m., 7600-block of Montreal Street: Someone smashed the rear window of a parked vehicle and rifled through the inside. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Damage: $500.

- September 9, overnight, 7100-block of Progress Way: Complainant called to report the attempted theft of a parked semi-tractor from a repair shop. Thieves punched the driver's door lock and had partially defeated the ignition switch before abandoning the attempt. Damage: $1,000.

- September 10, overnight, 4900-block of River Road: Thieves damaged the door locks and ignition of a parked vehicle in an attempt to steal the vehicle. Assorted clothing, make up, a Bluetooth device and loose change were stolen.

- September 11, 6:25 p.m., 4600-block of River Road: A police car, making a left turn with signal light activated, was struck by a suspected impaired driver who pulled left of centre line to pass the police vehicle. The driver refused a roadside screening test and was arrested. The suspect's vehicle was impounded. The driver was served a 90-day prohibition and is facing impaired driving charges.
