Photos: This tiny, windowless room is what $750 will rent you in downtown Vancouver

It's got a bed, two tables and a door.

In the real estate world, the key is, as they say, "location, location, location."

This little room may put that saying to the test. The tiny den is located in downtown Vancouver, in a building connected to the Granville SkyTrain station.

On top of the location, there's the price. At $750 per month, rent is decidedly cheaper than most in Vancouver, especially in a neighbourhood that's not known for being affordable.

But in a city like Vancouver, if rent is low and the location popular, something else has to give. In this case, it's how much space there is.

A Craigslist ad for this rental posted this week shows a tiny, windowless room in a downtown Vancouver apartment.

While the apartment is a normal size, the room barely fits a twin bed. A narrow nightstand and a small table sits in a niche barely any larger. The renter will get a closet, as well, but it doesn't appear to be in the room.

The space (loosely speaking) is in an apartment with two other roommates (a film industry worker and a student). A dog lives with them.

"The Den is a bit small but the apartment is big!" writes the roommate who posted the ad.

It's a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a large deck, kitchen and shared living space.

"So everyone has their private space! No one living in the living room like other places I know hahaha," notes the roommate to be.

Along with the large shared apartment, there's more shared space in the building with a small gym and dog park, the ad notes.
