Thanks to our community for supporting the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen shred-a-thon!

It was a drizzly cold day but you came! Over 180 cars arrived to drop off paper that was safely and securely shredded on site. Our 35 volunteers gave over 132 volunteer hours to make this event a success. The team included a number of student volunteers from the SDSS Interact Rotary club.

We raised almost $12,000 which will be used to develop local projects that benefit our community, including the new Story Walk at Beach Grove Park, and 56 trees were saved with all that shredded paper that will be recycled.

If you missed this event the Rotary Club of Ladner will be holding the next shed-a-thon on April 10 on the lot behind East Link (off Ladner Trunk Road).
