Workshop looks at marketing to the U.S

The Delta Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast workshop next month to discuss strategies for American marketing for small business. Guest speakers Jim Pettinger and April Collier are scheduled to attend.

The Delta Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast workshop next month to discuss strategies for American marketing for small business.

Guest speakers Jim Pettinger and April Collier are scheduled to attend. Pettinger, president of International Market Access, Inc., is a Canadian citizen who has owned a business in Washington state since 1984.

Collier is a senior compliance adviser with Pacific Customs Brokers USA and has over 25 years of industry experience.

Key topics of the workshop will include:

. Overview of the U.S. marketplace

. Basic sales and marketing strategies

. Canada-U.S. distribution/logistics

. Brokerage and crossborder lessons

The workshop is set for Jan. 18 from 8 to 10: 30 a.m. at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn. It costs $30 for chamber members and $40 for non-members. There will be a continental breakfast. Register online at www.deltachamber.ca.
