Find a church community who worships the God made known - human - in the birth of Jesus. It need not be the church of your childhood or the one you are affiliated with but may not attend. It could be a church you are curious about or recommended by friends. Do not worry about the worship style, the taste in music or who the clergy, pastor, priest or minister is.

Seek out the time of worship with a phone call, newspaper ad or website search.

Simply go. Do not be anxious about what to wear, seating, order of service or even if the ceiling may fall in because you have never been in a church before. Simply go and worship. Sit, stand and sing as others do. Listen! More importantly, let your heart space be open.

For the "God made flesh" - Emmanuel - "God with us" as the Bible witnesses testify to longs to meet you, to know you, to be a part of your life and for you to follow him.

Does this invitation unnerve you? If it does, there is nothing wrong with that. It is no small thing to encounter the sacred. What will happen to you? I do not know the plans Jesus has for you but I am sure you will not be disappointed.
