Ladner Red Sox overcame the sizzling heat and tough competition to produce a podium finish at B.C. Minor Baseball’s 11U AA Provincial Championships in Mission.
Ladner avenged one of its early losses with a 9-8 victory over North Langley in the bronze medal game, capping a hectic run of six games over three days.
The Red Sox earned a berth in the semi-finals by going 3-1 in round-robin play, highlighted by wins over Kelowna (11-6), Mission (15-12) and Ladysmith (14-13).
The team includes: William Stewart, Yostin Moncion, Mason Miller, Brennen Carroll, Marcus Robertson, Ozzy Stevens, Kayden Cashin, Joshua Foley, Dante Mollica, Theo Mollica (alternate), Mitchell Underhill, Eli Toews and Jon Martin.
Head coach Greg Miller is joined by assistants Spencer Underhill, Brian Toews Sean Martin and Don Stewart.
