Ladner Red Sox wrapped up an outstanding season with a silver medal finish at B.C. Minor Baseball’s 11U AAA Tier 2 Provincial Championships in Cloverdale.

Ladner took a perfect 5-0 record into the gold medal game where the North Delta Rays prevailed 4-0 in an all-Delta match-up.

Winning pitcher Kyle Reynolds was superb for the Rays, allowing just one walk and striking out eight over six innings.

It was the only time all weekend the Red Sox bats were silenced.

They were on fire in the semi-finals, a 14-4 victory over the Nanaimo Pirates.

Earlier, Ladner cruised through round-robin play with a 4-0 record thanks to wins over Abbotsford (11-7), Vernon (8-6), Prince George (11-1) and Campbell River (13-3).

The Red Sox secured their spot at provincials by going 6-2 in qualifying play and also captured a tournament win during the season in Cloverdale.

The team includes: Avery Rosen, Carter Leung, Cohen Wood, Corey Maxwell, Declan Aldcorn, Grayson Barker, Jayden Sanghera, Kaiden McKim, Kaiden Bassi, Mason Decker, Raemon Dosanjh and Wyatt Spence. Head coach Dave Spence is joined by assistants Garreth Barker, Sandy Rosen, Leo Decker and Ryan Spence.
