Beach Grove Junior recognized for outstanding season

B.C. Golf has nominated Tsawwassen's Jace Minni for the Pacific Northwest Golf Association's Junior Boys Player of the Year Award.

Jace Minni has been recognized for a superb 2019 season.

The Beach Grove Golf Club standout is B.C. Golf’s nomination for the Pacific Northwest Golf Association’s Junior Boys Player of the Year Award.

Minni’s campaign included capturing the Maple Leaf Junior Tour’s Odlum Brown Classic at Northview and also finishing fourth at the Canadian Junior Boys Championships in New Brunswick. He added a sixth place finish at the B.C. Junior Boys and 19th at the B.C. Amateur.

The Grade 12 South Delta Secondary student has committed to Gonzaga University, starting in September 2020.

The B.C. Golf Championship Committee meets annually in early October to vote and select the Players of the Year in the categories of Men’s, Women’s, Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s, Men’s Mid-Amateur, Women’s Mid-Amateur, Junior Boys' and Junior Girls'. 

The British Columbia Golf Order of Merit list is used as the primary guide for the selection, although other factors are also considered.

North Delta’s Mary Parsons has been nominated for the Women’s Player of the Year Award. She is in her sophomore year at Indiana University.
