Canadians split pair to open season in Okanagan

Greater Vancouver, which has a group of South Delta minor hockey products on the roster, took Saturday's game 3-2 against the Okanagan Rockets, but dropped Sunday's matchup 4-2.

Harlan Orr led the Rockets in scoring with four points while Tyler Sandhu led the Canadians with two goals and one assist. Forward Malcolm Glaholt picked up two assists over the weekend for Greater Vancouver.

The Canadians will face the North Island Silvertips twice this weekend as part of the league's kickoff event at UBC.

The majority of their home games will be played at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
