Ladner's Sam Clare has been named to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division One All-Decade Team at midfield. He is currently in his rookie season with the NLL's Vancouver Warriors.

Sam Clare has been recognized for his outstanding field lacrosse career at Simon Fraser University.

The 26-year-old Ladner native, who is now in his rookie season in the National Lacrosse League with the Vancouver Warriors, is a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association’s Division One All-Decade Team at midfield.

Clare piled up the awards during his four-year run with the Burnaby Mountain program including being a two-time First Team All-American in 2014/15. He earned Second Team honours in his sophomore season and Third Team when was also named Freshman of the Year.

The Vancouver College graduate was also twice named Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League Offensive Player of the Year, on top of being a four-time First Team All Conference selection.

He piled up 159 goals and 39 assists in 69 conference games over the four seasons.
