The Ladner Pioneers scored a 10-6 win on Wednesday against the Chilliwack Mustangs and marched on to the second round of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association playoffs.

The Pioneers trailed 4-2 after the first at Prospera Centre but found the back of the net five times in the second on their way to sweep the first round series in two games.

Quinn Waddington led the way with four goals, Nathan Clare netted a hat trick to go along with an assist and Cam Taylor scored twice and added four assists for Ladner in the win.

Ladner will face the Nanaimo Timbermen in the semi-finals with the series tentatively slated to get underway Sunday in Ladner at 7 p.m., notes Pioneers coach Bob Taylor.

"I have no worries about playing any team. We finished first and we finished strong. If we play the same way we have all year, we should be OK. If we make some wrong turns, we'll be in trouble," he said.
