Six Metro Vancouver teams will converge on the Memorial Park diamond for the long-running Ladner May Days Invitational Fastball Tournament.
This year’s event features Steveston Canadians, Richmond Rays and the host Ladner Masters in the Red Pool. The Richmond A’s, Coquitlam Dukes and Connaught Lomas will be squaring off in the Blue Pool.
The action gets underway at 6:45 p.m. on Friday night with the Rays taking on the Canadians. Round-robin play continues Saturday with games at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The playoffs will commence that afternoon with the second and third place teams crossing over in single-elimination games. The winners will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, while the first place round-robin teams square-off at 10:30 a.m. for a spot in the final. The other finalist will be determined in the 12:30 p.m. and the final is slated for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
