U15 A1 team in White and U18 A1 team in Black are getting set to host the 27th annual Tim Jardine U15-U18 Showcase.

Teams from across B.C. will converge on the Ladner Leisure Centre (LLC) and South Delta Recreation Centre over the Remembrance Day weekend for South Delta Minor Hockey Association’s 27th annual Tim Jardine U15-U18 Showcase.

The 16-team tournament features eight teams battling in the two divisions – looking to reach Sunday’s championship games.

Organizers have once again done an impressive job of attracting out-of-town teams.

The host A1 Storm is joined in the U15 division by New Westminster Royals, North Zone Kings, Nanaimo Clippers, Okanagan Hockey Academy, Vancouver Thunderbirds, Kamloops Blazers and North Delta Minor Hockey Association.

The U18 division features Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association, Powell River Kings, Vernon Vipers, Ridge Meadows Rustlers, Port Coquitlam Pirates, Victoria Admirals and Chilliwack Bruins.

The tournament format will see each team play three round-robin games, starting on Remembrance Day, Thursday morning, to determine Saturday's quarter-final match-ups. The semi-finals will take place later that night. The Showcase concludes with the championship games slated for 1:30 p.m. (U15) and 4 p.m. (U19) on Nov. 14 at the LLC.

Fans are welcome at the tournament. All COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be in place.
