Tsawwassen Martial Arts students shine at Karate Provincials

Local club returns home with 19 medals from two-day competition at Richmond Olympic Oval

Tsawwassen Martial Arts’ students thrived on the big stage, bringing home 19 medals from Karate BC’s Provincial Championships, held April 29-30 at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

Coached by Sensei Lauren, it was another outstanding showing for the contingent of 23 in Kata and Kumite events.

Here are the medal winners:

Emili Lapadatu (silver, Kata), Hannah Francis-Bain (bronze, Kata), Emily Montgomery (bronze, Kata), Nate Larson (bronze, Kata), Connor An (bronze, Kata), Ean Dong (silver, Kata), Noah Larsen (silver, Kata), Kolt Hewlett-Kaufman (bronze, Kata), Amelia Jorgenson (silver, Kata), Isabelle Lapadatu (silver, Kumite), Olivia Coulter (silver, Kumite), Jasmine Le (bronze, Kumite), Hannah Francis-Bain (bronze, Kumite), Nate Larsen (gold, Kumite), Connor An (bronze, Kumite), Lucas Frumson (silver, Kumite), Noah Larsen (gold, Kumite). Camden Louie (silver, Kumite), Amelia Jorgenson (silver, Kumite).

Also representing TMA were Aayan Lidder, Ariana Lidder, Donald Jorgenson, Grayson Montgomery, Jack Rudolf, Matthew Le, Malakai Bretherick, Marley Bretherick and Tesora Gray.
