South Delta Wolves celebrate their U11 Delta Cup triumph after a 6-2 victory over North Delta at Tilbury Ice last week.

The South Delta U11 C2 Wolves concluded their minor hockey season in thrilling fashion, capturing the Delta Cup.

The Wolves skated to an impressive 6-2 victory over North Delta C2 last Wednesday (March 8) at Tilbury Ice. They earned the opportunity to play for city bragging rights by winning the U11 title at last month’s Ken Elmer Memorial Tournament.

This annual event brings together the “C” level and female teams in the South Delta Minor Hockey Association to determine division titles in U11, U13, U15 and U18. The one-time Party In Da House Tournament was re-named this year after Elmer, a long-time SDMHA volunteer and executive who lost his battle with cancer in 2021.

The four division winners go on to represent South Delta against the North Delta champions for the cup.

The Wolves roster features: Logan Romer (goalie), Cason Kennedy, Kipling Reid, Zayn Jeshani, Evan Chatha, Blake Bjorgum, Simon Vollweiter, Kaiden Kanda, Olivia Buhr (captain), William Taylor, Cole Prevost, Charlie Grierson, Brandon Vaughan Smith, Theodore Lo, Sebastien Lo and Zack Martin.
