Mayoral candidate George Harvie is adding to his Achieving for Delta slate.

On Tuesday, he announced that Erica Beard, Daniel Boisvert, Jessie Dosanjh, and Sujay Nazareth will be the slate’s candidates for school board.

“I’m proud to run alongside these four community leaders who are united and energized in their commitment to achieving real results for Delta’s next generation,” said Harvie in a news release.

“Active in their many community roles as parents, athletes, small business owners, and volunteers, they know firsthand what priorities and issues are important to families and bring fresh, bold solutions the table.”

At his campaign launch in May, Harvie presented what he said was his collaborative vision for a renewed school board, promising to deliver on much-needed track and training facility upgrades while converting more gravel fields to turf. He has also pledged to fund the projects quickly and affordably to keep Delta debt-free.

Running with Harvie for Delta council are Dan Copeland, Param Grewal, Alicia Guichon, Dylan Kruger, and Cal Traversy.

The election takes place on Oct. 20.
