A long list of people have declared they’ll be running for spots on Delta council and school board in the upcoming municipal election. Not everyone has file their nomination papers at city hall yet. As of late Friday afternoon, here’s the names who have filed their candidacies.

Those planning on running have until next Friday at 4 p.m. to file. The chief election officer will declare the final list of candidates at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24.
Voters will be selecting a mayor, six councillors and seven school board trustees. The election will be held Oct. 20.
An all-candidates meeting has been scheduled by Delta Residents Association at North Delta Evangelical Free Church, 11300 84th Ave, on Saturady, Sept 29th, at 10 a.m.
