Housing will be the topic of a public event organized by the Delta Housing Be Mine Society in collaboration with Cedar Park Church tonight.
The event is not an all-candidates meeting, but an educational event to prepare Delta residents for the upcoming municipal election.
“We are inviting our candidates to attend so that they can hear about needs and become inspired to provide leadership regarding housing in Delta,” states the Delta Housing Be Mine Society website.
The society is aiming to help residents clarify the questions that they should be asking of the candidates.
“By sharpening what the issues are, we will equip residents of Delta to prepare for all-candidates meetings that will be taking place during the campaign,” the site states.
The event goes from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at Cedar Park Church, 5300-44th Ave., Ladner.
