Delta police are reporting a rash of theft from autos following a busy weekend for thieves in Ladner.

On Monday morning, DPD reported 12 theft from autos.

“All 12 vehicle owners reported that they left their vehicle unlocked, and in more than half of the reported instances, sunglasses were stolen (approximately $1,400 worth of sunglasses),” said police in a post on their Facebook page. “Autumn is upon us - no one needs that many sunglasses.

“Once again, a reminder - do not leave anything in your vehicle that has actual value or perceived value. Thank you to the two individuals who reported that their vehicles had been rummaged through, but they had not left anything of value for the thieves to steal.”

If you believe that you have been a victim of a theft from auto (even if nothing was stolen), call the Delta police non-emergency line at 604-946-4411 to report.
