When Bank of Montreal branches in Ladner and Tsawwassen heard that Operation Red Nose Delta-Richmond needed volunteers, they came to the rescue. It took them no time to put several driving teams together.

“At BMO, we place a lot of value on getting involved in and supporting the communities that we are a part of, both professionally and personally,” said regional vice president Pat Dejong. “We have a long history of supporting the communities of Ladner and Tsawwassen, and I’m proud to see the teams from our branches rallying together in support of Operation Red Nose.”

Operation Red Nose coordinator Ellyn Schriber said volunteering together is a great experience for a business.

“Businesses have fun with it,” said Schriber. “They come as team, wear vests and red noses, meet interesting people and enjoy the comradery that volunteering offers while showing their support for keeping our roads safe.”

Operation Red Nose is a by-donation driving service that runs for nine nights during the holiday season. Driving teams of three will pick up a caller and drive them home along with their vehicle. Last year 367 volunteers took part in Operation Red Nose in Delta and Richmond.

Operation Red Nose hours are 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Nov. 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 7 and 8, Dec. 14 and 15, Dec. 21 and 22 and Dec. 31. Call 604-943-0460 for more information.
