Delta police, the coroner’s service and the Vancouver Police Department Marine section are on scene at the Tsawwassen First Nation after reports of a found body.
DPD public affairs coordinator Cris Leykauf confirmed in an email to the Optimist Wednesday afternoon that around mid-morning Wednesday a member of the public reported a possible found body to Delta police.
“Delta police attended and confirmed that yes, a body has been located in the tidal areas on Tsawwassen First Nation land,” said Leykauf. “Police are currently on scene working to recover the body. Delta police is being assisted by the VPD marine section. The coroner is also on scene.
“At this point we don’t know when we will be able to confirm any information regarding the identity of the deceased."
