Grey Owl Children’s Boutique will open its doors Sunday at Trenant Park Square in Ladner.

The new business specializes in children’s apparel from newborn to six-years-old.

The store, owned by local twin sisters Shannon Dattilo and Michelle Mather, also carries accessories as well as gift options for new moms.

The first time small business owners say they’ve put a focus on Canadian-based brands. They’ve hand selected what comes into their store and want to make sure it’s unique to Grey Owl.

“It’s exciting to be able to bring this to the community,” said Mather.

Dattilo and Mather, who are both moms, grew up in Tsawwassen. Dattilo now lives in Ladner.

They lost their dad, Pete Caswell, to cancer five years ago. The sisters will be donating part of the proceeds from their opening day to the B.C. Cancer Agency.

Grey Owl Children’s Boutique, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, is located at 5201 Ladner Trunk Road.
