The Wood N Frog Coffee Company opened last October and things have been great early on for co-owners Kelly McCloskey and Sandy McKellar.
"The community's been very welcoming, very supportive. We have been really fortunate in getting some amazing staff, who make this place tick," says McKellar.
The Wood N Frog roasts its own beans, offers unique food choices and is now open evenings (Thursday to Saturday).
McCloskey says the establishment will introduce more interesting food choices, music and will serve alcoholic beverages in the evening.
"None of our food items are traditional or simple, they all have a bit of an exotic twist or flair to them. We play with spicing and we play with that aromatic taste experience," explains McKellar.
She adds that winning their first Readers' Choice Award was a testament to the hard work they put in to putting the place together.
"We were very surprised and delighted, having not even been open a year. The fact our customers stood up and spoke so clearly is really very flattering," says McKellar.
The Wood N Frog Coffee Company is located at 5694-12th Ave., Tsawwassen.
