The Delta Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Business and Community Awards to be awarded at the 67th annual Hats Off to Excellence Awards Gala. The awards gala evening is a high-profile, prestigious event to honour the businesses, organizations and individuals being recognized. This year’s gala will be held on Friday, Nov. 23 at the Tsawwassen Springs Ballroom.
“We’re incredibly excited to be celebrating the 67th anniversary of the Chamber’s Business & Community Awards. This is an event we look forward to all year because we’re able to recognize those that help make our community the amazing place it is,” said Les Voros, Chair of the Delta Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s award categories are:
Small Business of the Year Award
Medium Business of the Year Award
Large Business of the Year Award
Environmental Leadership Award
Rising Star Business Award
Employee of the Year Award
Special Events Excellence Award
Volunteer of the Year Award
Business Leadership Award (new for 2018)
Citizen of the Year Award
The deadline for receiving award nominations is Friday, Sept. 21 at 4:30 p.m. Award finalists will be invited to the Hats Off to Excellence Awards Gala as guests of the Chamber, and the winner of each award will be announced to an audience of local business and community leaders.
