The owners of Gracie’s Next Door and Mario’s Kitchen are serving up more than meals for take-out service in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On social media this week, owners Darren and Liz Gates had this heartwarming message for the community:

“These are difficult times for us all. Thank you so much for your continued support. We feel grateful that we can continue to provide employment for our staff and keep our doors open. And we would like to help where we can. These are very hard times financially with many layoffs and perhaps more to come. If you would like to add a pizza to your next order for someone in need or our community first responders, add a “Pizza-For-Donation” to your next online order, we will match it with one on the house and drop both off.

Currently, our supply chains remain strong and we are able to access many of the necessities that are becoming difficult to find in stores. If you or anyone you know needs essential items like paper products, cleaning products or soap, please email us at info@marioskitchen.ca and we will offer them at our cost for as long as we can do so.

Take care, Darren and Liz Gates
