“We are actively growing the network to serve the community,” a company spokesperson said.

Users can order food online from certain restaurants for delivery through the service.

Users put their address into the SkipTheDishes website and are given a list of eateries they can order from.

Local establishments like The Chopped Leaf, Fatburger, Speeds Liquor Store, Il Posto, Lara Cuisine Café Bistro & Catering, Bombay Joe’s, Quiznos, Ricky’s All Day Grill, Sapporo Kitchen and Primerose Mediterranean Restaurant came up as options when the Optimist’s address was entered for example. A number of Richmond restaurants were listed as well.

The service isn’t available in Tsawwassen.

“Currently, we do not have an estimate on when Skip may be available in Tsawwassen, but we encourage hungry residents to stay tuned as we are always adding new communities,” the spokesperson said.

Skip is currently available in 126 Canadian communities, the spokesperson noted.
