The Urban Rack’s annual Spring Awakening fashion show raised over $5,000 for the Canucks Autism Network earlier this month.

“It was a great event, we had a lot of support from local merchants and businesses,” said Urban Rack owner Caylea Burch. “I can’t thank enough all who came, participated, donated and helped out.”

The fashion show showcased the store’s spring styles, noted Burch, adding the event enjoyed a large turnout.

A silent auction was held and surprise swag bags were sold by donation in addition to the fashion show.   Guests enjoyed snacks and beverages along with tunes provided by a DJ.

The Canucks Autism Network does some amazing work in our communities, said Burch, adding the organization is “near and dear to my heart personally.”

The network is dedicated to providing year-round sports and recreation programs for children, teens, young adults and families living with autism, while increasing autism awareness and providing training in communities across British Columbia, according to its website.
