Delta fire continues to investigate the cause of a fire at the Tsawwassen First Nation Sunday evening.

Delta fire continues to investigate the cause of a fire at the Tsawwassen First Nation Sunday evening.

Firefighters responded to the blaze just after 5:30 in the 2100 block of Tsawwassen Drive.

“When crews arrived there were three sheds at the back of a mobile home,” said Deputy Chief Brad Wilson. “The back of the house also sustained some damage.”

TFN communications officer Adrian MacNair said a TFN natural resources officer spotted the fire and called 9-1-1.

MacNair said the fire damage rendered the home uninhabitable.

“The fire was under control by about 8 p.m. and arrangements were found for the residents,” said MacNair. “The owner is an elder of the community and there were three other family occupants. They are now displaced and must find lodgings with friends or family.”
