A talented artist is getting some kudos online after photos of their work appeared on a local Facebook group earlier this week.
“Thank you to the wonderfully talented woman for creating this on the beach and leaving it for everyone to enjoy,” Deb McColman wrote in a post on the Tsawwassen Loop Facebook group Wednesday.
McColman said in a message to the Optimist she was at Centennial Beach with her dog when she saw a woman was putting the finishing touches on a piece of art.
“She was scooping the sand and pouring it to make the petals on the outside. Clearly she had been at it for a long time. It was beautiful. I said, ‘Thank you for sharing your talent with us.’ And I left her to finish her creations,” McColman said.
McColman also posted a photo of a heart made with rocks with the message, “be safe” in the middle. Fellow Tsawwassen Loop member Shelly Thomsen noted in a comment that was her creation.
