Delays expected at George Massey Tunnel tonight

Heads up if you’re using the George Massey Tunnel tonight.

Mainroad Lower Mainland Contracting has sent out a notification that drivers can expect delays while crews perform maintenance work in the tunnel.

The notification explains that traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight and tomorrow. It adds there will be a northbound slow lane closure from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow.

Mainroad is reminding drivers to obey signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers.
