The City of Delta will be hosting a public information meeting on Thursday, Sept. 27 to bring residents up to speed on the issues surrounding the Green for Life (GFL) Enviro-Smart composting facility in East Ladner.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Harris Barn, 4140 Arthur Dr., Ladner.
Public sign-in and viewing of a series of display boards with background on the Enviro-Smart facility will take place between 6 and 7 p.m. A Delta staff presentation followed by public comments and questions will take place between 7 and 8:30 p.m.
Metro Vancouver recently issued an air quality permit to the 72nd Street facility, which has been the subject of many complaints over a stench emanating from its operation.
